"Master Erestor, there is someone out in the courtyard for you."
Erestor looked up at the stable boy and asked, "Why were they not shown
to my office?"
The boy fidgeted and said, "He refused. He said that he will await you
in the courtyard."
"Does he have a name?"
"He did not say. He has a hooded cloak on also, he has kept his face
hidden," the boy said.
Erestor frowned but stood and started to make his way towards the
courtyard. Stopping at the top of the stairs that led into the courtyard,
Erestor saw the hooded stranger standing next to a horse. `Something about
that stance looks familiar,' he thought.
Still frowning, he walked the rest of the distance to the visitor.
Before he had the chance to say anything, the mysterious man dropped to
one knee and after placing his right fist against his chest whispered,
"Master Erestor."
Erestor had to blink several times as the voice registered in his mind.
He stared down at the bowed head that was covered, hiding the identity of
this stranger. Erestor knew that it was impossible to hope, but none the
less, he pulled back the hood and gasped when his eyes beheld a golden
mane and indigo eyes. "Fin…" he gasped before he fell into his beloved's
arms, laying sweet kisses all over his face.
