Glorfindel helped Erestor tuck Rían into her bed. The holidays had
worn out the youngster and even now she was asleep while they
settled the blankets around her.

Erestor took a step back and watched the blonde warrior gently place
the stuffed squirrel in Rían's arms. He felt his heart race at the
emotion he felt for the seneschal but wondered if it was returned by
the other elf.

Each time they had kissed it was because they had found themselves
in range of that damned, wonderful mistletoe. Now…with the holidays
ended...had their excuse to be close vanished, too?

"You have a question," Glorfindel stated quietly as he walked to
Erestor's side.

"Aye, I do," Erestor answered his voice low and husky. "However, I
do not know how to word it."

Glorfindel stopped only a hairs' breath from the dark elf, his blue
eyes boring into those chocolate brown ones he never tired of
looking into.

"You question if the attraction we feel is real," Glorfindel
practically whispered, his hand caressing the raven hair away from a
well-sculpted cheek. "You question if my presence is for Rían's
benefit."

"Is it?" Erestor asked, hesitantly.

"Although she has a place in my heart…it is her uncle who holds it,"
Glorfindel managed to answer, Erestor's nearness causing his body to
tremble with desire.

The advisor smiled shyly then looked Glorfindel directly in the
eyes. "One more question. Will we need to continue to keep mistletoe
around so we have an excuse to share kisses?"

Glorfindel shook his head no then broke into a huge grin when
Erestor closed the distance between them.

"Good," the dark-haired elf smirked before pressing his lips to
Glorfindel's.
