Erestor watched the object of his fantasies. He knew how uncomfortable
Glorfindel was during these council meetings. Over the last few hours, he
had watched Glorfindel change positions dozens of times. Glorfindel had
covered many yawns and even dozed off briefly, but was abruptly woken when
one of Thranduil’s advisors slammed his fist on the table. Erestor had a
difficult time not laughing aloud as Glorfindel jumped and nervously
looked around to see if anyone noticed. No one seemed to, except of course
Erestor, who rarely took his eyes off Glorfindel.
As the meeting finally adjourned, Elrond waited for everyone to leave.
“Glorfindel, are you well? You look exhausted.”
“Elrond, you know these meetings are torture for me. I was bored out of
my mind.”
Erestor chuckled, “Is that why you fell asleep?”
Glorfindel lowered his eyes. “I did not think any one saw that.”
Elrond grinned. “Erestor misses nothing you do, Glorfindel.” He looked
to his advisor whose mouth was wide open.
“Elrond, I do not watch everything Glorfindel does.” Erestor would not
meet Glorfindel’s gaze, who was grinning at him.
Elrond laughed. “Right, Erestor.”
“Elrond, Really!” Erestor yelled as he hurried from the meeting hall.
Glorfindel watched Erestor leave the room with his robes flapping
behind him. “What was all that about?”
Elrond finished gathering papers he needed. “I think I have embarrassed
Erestor.” He looked into Glorfindel’s eyes. “He does watch you, meldir.
Does that surprise you?”
“Yes, but only because I am always watching him and never realized he
was also watching me.”
Elrond smiled as he began to leave. “Well, I think something should be
done about that.” As he reached the door, he turned back. “Glorfindel, he
goes to the river after all of these more difficult meetings. It is how he
unwinds. I thought you might like to know that.”
Glorfindel thought for a moment and then smiled as he walked out of the
room, through he same door Erestor had exited.
Glorfindel sat in the water, on the far back on the river, relishing
the way the current massaged his body. ‘I know why Erestor does this. It
feels wonderful.’ He thought to himself He heard someone approaching and
watched as the beauty he loved to watch, disrobed and slowly walked into
the water. Glorfindel’s body instantly reacted to the sight of Erestor’s
lean alabaster body. He started to speak but did not know what he would
say to Erestor, so he continued to watch.
Erestor swam for a few moments and then began to float on his back in
the middle of the river. Erestor stared at the stars twinkling above him
and sent a silent prayer to the Valar, that he would have the courage to
tell Glorfindel how he felt about him. He no longer wanted to be afraid of
Glorfindel rejecting him. He closed his eyes and focused on his breathing,
meditating and fantasizing.
Glorfindel wanted to go to Erestor, to take him in his arms, to tell
him he wanted him, he loved him but he was afraid Erestor might be angry
if he intruded. He thought for a moment and then decided on his plan of
action. Glorfindel, very quietly, took a huge breath and slid silently
under the water. He swam deep and out to where he could see Erestor’s form
floating above him. He began to slowly blow bubbles and swam a circle
around Erestor’s body. He watched as the bubbles floated up and reached
Erestor.
Erestor smiled at the feeling of the tiny bubbles around him. It felt
like hundreds of fingers caressing his skin. Suddenly, he began to wonder
what was causing the bubbles and sat up in the water. He looked down in
the water but could not see anything below him.
Glorfindel continued blowing bubbles and swimming circles under Erestor
until he reached the top. Where he broke the surface just behind Erestor,
who turned quickly to see the smiling face of the one he loved. “
“’Fin, where did you come from?”
Glorfindel smiled at him and took his hands. “I was sitting on the
opposite bank. We must have had the same idea as a way to relax this
night.
Erestor looked shyly at Glorfindel as he was pulled into the arms of
the golden warrior. Erestor’s breath caught in his throat as Glorfindel
pulled him against his body and he could feel their arousals touching.
“Erestor, may I kiss you? I have longed to kiss you for so long.”
“You have?” Glorfindel nodded. “Yes, ‘Fin, I would love to be kissed by
you. Only you.”
Glorfindel leaned and took Erestor’s lips in a tender kiss that only to
a moment to turn passionate. “Erestor, I have loved you for a long time
but always feared you would never be interested in me, in that way. Could
you ever feel the same way about me?”
Erestor had tears in his eyes as he whispered, “Oh my, I already feel
the same way about you. I just was so afraid you would reject me. I do not
think I could have lived with your rejection.”
Glorfindel kissed Erestor again. “Come back to my room, Erestor. I want
to show you how much I love you. Then perhaps you can show me how you feel
about me.” Glorfindel grinned as he led Erestor from the water.
As they put their robes back on and walked hand in hand back to the
house, Erestor looked to the stars and mouthed. “Thank you.” He smiled as
the stars winked back at him.
