Erestor lay in the pool of steaming water, his head resting back
against the edge, cushioned by a rolled-up towel. The bathing chamber was
his favorite wicked indulgence. When the Last Homely House was built, he
told Elrond that he did not mind having the only set of chambers that did
not look out over Imladris' famous waterfalls, PROVIDED the shortcoming
was offset in another manner.
The compensation Erestor had requested was a massive bathing chamber
off of his bedroom. The centerpiece of the room was an enormous sunken
marble pool that could be filled with warm water by way of pipes fed from
a natural spring beneath the house. Erestor knew Elrond had wanted to ask
what he could possibly want with such a decadent luxury. The public baths
of the Last Homely House were not exactly lacking in elegance or grandeur,
after all, but the Lord of the Valley had kept his peace and merely
granted the request. When a particular gleam had entered Erestor's eyes
during the planning of the massive room, Elrond was certain he did not
want to know Erestor's reasons.
With his eyes closed and his lips parted slightly, anyone watching
Erestor would have thought he was near falling asleep in the soothing
water. When his head began to loll from side to side and his breathing
sped up, however, it was clear that the Elf was not merely relaxing. Moans
began to escape his lips until Erestor's body suddenly arched and he gave
a hoarse, wordless cry.
Sighing blissfully, Erestor lazily opened his eyes and watched as the
golden head of his lover emerged from beneath the water.
"Feeling better, love? Not as tense as before?" Glorfindel asked with a
wicked grin.
Erestor reached out to caress his lover's cheek before saying, "Elrond
has always wondered why I sacrificed a room with a view for this chamber .
. . but then he knows nothing about your talent for holding your breath."
